Edible (if you're brave) Amanitas were found today, especially in the established spruce/ moss area. Blushers and Tawny Grissettes do tend to be one of the earliest of the main season fungi. A brownish Russula was also found. The usual carpet of Marasmius could be seen as well as on dead wood yellow fungus, Galerina mutabilis and Calocera cornea. The first Bay bolete of the year was found. Stinkhorns were quite common. Grassland area has grown up near the central pond area, where cotton grass is now growing.

Moving under the electricity pylons, Elder was in flower. Small tan coloured fungi were found around here.

The birch area was tentatively explored, earthballs making an appearance in the usual area. The area all the way down to the railway was explored and Valerian was found next to the bridge over the river Ore.
